Lemonade, Inc. settled allegations that personal information, such as driver's license numbers, was disclosed or accessed between April 2023 and September 2024 when unauthorized information was entered into its online insurance quote platform. Lemonade, Inc. denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.
A settlement over an alleged data exposure on Lemonade's online insurance quote platform between April 2023 and September 2024, in which personal information such as driver's license numbers may have been accessed by cybercriminals. Eligible people can claim cash and receive credit monitoring.

- Living U.S. residents whose personal information was compromised in the data exposure, including everyone sent notice of it — approximately 190,000 individuals.
- How you get paid
- A pro rata cash payment from a $10,500,000 fund, and/or reimbursement of up to $10,000 for documented losses more likely than not traceable to the data exposure. All class members also receive three years of Credit Monitoring and Insurance Services, including up to $1 million in identity-theft insurance.
- Proof required
- The pro rata cash payment requires no documentation. The Documented Loss Payment requires reasonable documentation showing losses on or after April 1, 2023 that are more likely than not traceable to the data exposure; self-prepared documents alone are insufficient.
