The City of New York settled allegations that it detained people in unconstitutional conditions at its Central Booking facilities between April 8, 2017 and December 27, 2019 and between February 3, 2020 and March 1, 2023, violating their rights under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. The City of New York denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.
