Privacy

What we collect

Traffic analytics, without cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no client-side state — no cookies, no localStorage — and does not fingerprint visitors. It counts visits, not people.

Affiliate-link clicks. When you follow a partner link through /go, we record only the page you came from and the traffic source. No personal data is stored.

No accounts, nothing to log in to. The only thing the site ever asks for is an email address — and only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter (see below).

Who is responsible (Law 25)

The person responsible for the protection of personal information is reachable by their title — Privacy officer — at info@settlementlist.com.

The operator is based in Québec, so Law 25 and Law 96 apply, even though the site serves a mostly U.S. audience.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our weekly email, we store your email address and the date you confirmed — no name, no IP address, and no tracking of what you open or click.

We ask you to confirm by email before adding you to the list. If you never confirm, the pending request is deleted automatically — your email address is kept for at most 24 hours, then it disappears on its own.

Once confirmed, your address stays on the list only until you unsubscribe. It is never sold, never shared with advertisers or other third parties, and never used for anything other than this newsletter — the only other party that ever sees it is Cloudflare, the same infrastructure named above, which stores it and sends the emails on our behalf.

You can ask us to remove your address at any time by writing to info@settlementlist.com. Once we start sending the weekly email, each one will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link that works the same way, with no further confirmation needed.
