Alta Resources Corp. settled allegations that a November 2023 targeted cyberattack accessed files containing private information, including names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, taxpayer identification numbers, and protected health information. All individuals who were notified that their private information was potentially compromised in the November 2023 data breach.

How do you get paid?

Reimbursement of up to $2,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses incurred between November 17, 2023 and August 17, 2026; or a one-time alternative cash payment expected to be $50. These cash benefits are subject to a $675,000 aggregate cap and may be reduced pro rata. All class members may also enroll in two years of credit monitoring with $1 million in identity theft insurance.

What proof do you need?

The expense-reimbursement payment requires proof such as bank statements or receipts; self-made notes alone are not enough. The alternative cash payment and credit monitoring require no documentation.
