Backchecked, LLC settled allegations that during a September 2024 targeted cyberattack on its computer systems, certain files that contained private information were accessed. Backchecked, LLC denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A settlement over a September 2024 cyberattack on Backchecked's computer systems, in which files containing names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers were allegedly accessed. Class Members can claim credit monitoring plus a cash payment.

How do you get paid?

Every Class Member may claim one year of three-bureau Credit Monitoring and Identity Protection Services (with $1 million in identity theft insurance), plus either reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses up to $2,500.00, or a one-time estimated $50.00 alternative cash payment.

The estimated $50.00 alternative cash payment requires no proof. Documented losses must have occurred between September 26, 2024, and August 26, 2026, and require supporting documentation.
