Bestway settled allegations that it sold defective spa pumps that could cause fires, and that the recall remedy it offered was insufficient. Bestway denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A settlement for people who bought a Bestway AirJet or HydroJet spa pump with certain model numbers between May 2021 and May 2024. The pumps were recalled in August 2024; the lawsuit says the recall remedy was not enough. Buyers can claim a cash payment.

How do you get paid?

Class Members who submit a timely, valid Claim Form are eligible to receive a cash payment of up to $75.00. The total value of the cash payments to the Settlement Class is capped at $2,000,000.00 and each payment is reduced on a pro rata basis if claims exceed that cap.

What proof do you need?

You must submit a Claim Form identifying your pump. Keep your proof of purchase or model number available, as the administrator may request further information.
