HCF Management, Inc. settled allegations that it failed to adequately protect the information of the potentially affected individuals, in claims of negligence, negligence per se, breach of implied contract and unjust enrichment. HCF Management, Inc. denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A settlement over a data security incident experienced by HCF Management on September 17, 2024, which exposed the personal information of its employees and customers. Class Members can claim free credit monitoring and a cash payment.

How do you get paid?

Class Members may claim three years of free credit monitoring with $1,000,000.00 in fraud insurance, plus monetary relief: an alternative cash payment of $35.00 per claimant, or reimbursement for loss of time compensated at $20.00 per hour up to 4 hours ($80.00 total), reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket expenses and financial losses up to $400.00 per claimant, and reimbursement for documented Extraordinary Losses up to $4,000.00 per claimant.

What proof do you need?

Claims for lost time must be supported by an attestation setting forth the amount of time spent dealing with the Data Incident; Out-of-Pocket and Extraordinary Loss claims must be documented.
