Heritage South Credit Union Data Incident Settlement

Heritage South Credit Union settled allegations that during a Data Incident in February 2025 on its computer systems, certain files containing private information were accessed. Heritage South Credit Union denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A settlement over a February 2025 data incident at Heritage South Credit Union, in which files containing Social Security numbers and financial account numbers were allegedly accessed. Class Members can claim credit monitoring plus reimbursement or a flat cash payment.

Living individuals residing in the United States who were identified and sent notice by Heritage South Credit Union that their private information may have been impacted in the Data Incident.
How you get paid
Every Class Member may enroll in one year of CyEx Financial Shield Total (with $1 million of financial fraud insurance), and claim either reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses up to $2,000.00, or a cash payment (an $80.00 payment, or $20.00 for those who received a Postcard Notice), subject to pro rata adjustment.
Proof required
The cash payment requires no documentation. Documented losses must have occurred between February 12, 2025, and October 5, 2026, and require supporting documentation.
