Credit Suisse settled allegations that it made materially false or misleading statements, or engaged in a course of business that operated as a fraud, in connection with the offer, sale or purchase of residential mortgage-backed securities, in violation of the New Jersey Securities Law. Credit Suisse denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.
A restitution program for investors who bought Credit Suisse residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) certificates, arising from a New Jersey Bureau of Securities action. Eligible investors who file a claim receive a restitution payment.
