Silk Canada and Great Value Beverages Recall Settlement

Danone Canada settled allegations that it sold Silk Canada Products and Great Value Products that became subject to a recall initiated on July 8, 2024, and that people in Canada who purchased or ingested them suffered personal injury as a result. Danone Canada denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A $7,500,000.00 (CAD) settlement for people in Canada who purchased or ingested Silk Canada or Great Value plant-based beverages subject to the recall initiated by Danone Canada on July 8, 2024, including those who suffered illness. Claim Packages are accepted until October 16, 2026.

Who is eligible

All persons in Canada who purchased or ingested the Silk Canada Products or Great Value Products subject to the Recall initiated by Danone Canada on July 8, 2024, including those who have suffered any Personal Injury as a result thereof, and their successors, assigns, family members, and dependants.

How you get paid

Benefits are calculated based on the category of Illnesses described in the Compensation Grid, drawn from the $7,500,000.00 (CAD) the Settlement provides. The official site states that until all claims have been adjudicated, it will not be possible to determine the exact value of the compensation that may be paid to eligible Claimants.

Proof required

A Claim Package including a completed Claim Form with the necessary supporting evidence detailed in the compensation grid, with related medical, pharmaceutical, and other records, if applicable.
