ABC Legal Services Data Security Incident Settlement

ABC Legal Services settled allegations that it was negligent, was unjustly enriched, breached an implied contract, violated New York General Business Law § 349, the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practice Act and the Washington Consumer Protection Act, and invaded class members' privacy in connection with the data incident. ABC Legal Services denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

A settlement over a data incident discovered by ABC Legal Services in November 2024, in which class members' personal information was allegedly compromised. Class Members can claim a cash payment, documented losses and credit monitoring.

Who is eligible

All individuals residing in the United States whose Personal Information was potentially compromised in the Data Incident discovered by ABC Legal Services in November 2024, including all those individuals who received notice of the Data Incident.

How you get paid

Class Members may claim a Pro Rata Cash Payment estimated at $50 (which may increase or decrease with the number of approved claims, up to $450), plus reimbursement of Out-of-Pocket Losses up to $5,000.00, plus Credit Monitoring Services.

Proof required

No documentation is required for the Pro Rata Cash Payment. Out-of-Pocket Loss claims require reasonable documentation of the costs incurred.
