BMW Shark-Fin Antenna Settlement
BMW of North America, LLC settled allegations that certain Model Year 2019-2020 BMW vehicles were sold with a defective Shark-Fin Antenna that could allow water to leak into the vehicle. BMW of North America, LLC denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.
A settlement for owners and lessees of certain Model Year 2019-2020 BMW X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7 vehicles over an alleged defect in the Shark-Fin Antenna. Owners who already paid for a repair can claim reimbursement.

- All persons or entities in the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who currently own or lease, or previously owned or leased, certain U.S.-specification Model Year 2019-2020 BMW X3, X4, X5, X6 and X7 vehicles produced between November 1, 2018, and March 31, 2020.
- How you get paid
- Reimbursement of past repair costs. If the repair was performed at an independent repair shop, you are reimbursed 100% of the repair costs you incurred up to a cap of $2,000. Reimbursement is limited to Class Vehicles that were under 10 years old or under 120,000 miles at the time of repair.
- Proof required
- Proof of the repair is required, such as a repair order or invoice showing the work performed and the amount paid.
