Loomis Armored US, LLC settled allegations in a case the official settlement website describes as follows: “The lawsuit alleges that the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”), 740 ILCS 14/1, et seq., prohibits private companies from capturing, obtaining, and/or disclosing biometric identifiers and/or biometric information, alleged to include scans of face geometry, of an individual without first providing such individual with certain written disclosures and obtaining written consent.” Loomis Armored US, LLC denies any wrongdoing and the court made no finding of liability.

The following Settlement Class has been conditionally certified by the Court for settlement purposes only: All individuals employed by Loomis Armored US, LLC and Burroughs, Inc. who serviced customers located in Illinois by operating vehicles that were equipped with internal vehicle cameras between May 8, 2019, and March 5, 2026.
